Thanks to the tailor-made matching of sponsors and students, you have the opportunity to build up a relationship with your sponsored students within a sponsorship year (and beyond) - often a great personal enrichment for private sponsors and an opportunity for companies to establish contacts with tomorrow's top talent. In addition to financial support, you can generate interest in your company or your foundation's work through non-material offers.

You will also take part in various events with scholarship holders, other sponsors and university representatives. As a result, you will become part of the network of one of the most renowned technical universities in the world. For example, you will come into personal contact with your scholarship holders for the first time at the annual award ceremony.

Your sponsorship will be included in our press and public relations work, including on our website, donor brochure and annual event. You can publicize your commitment by using the Deutschlandstipendien logo.

As a rule, you can claim your subsidy against tax.

You specifically promote high-performing students from disciplines that suit your company and invest in the future viability of Germany as a business location.

Depending on the objective of your charter, you can specifically support students according to criteria defined by you and save resources in the process. You benefit from the established application process, which is carried out entirely by competent TUM employees.

You can endow a scholarship with as little as 150 euros per month. The federal government doubles this amount. This means that each scholarship holder receives 300 euros per month (3,600 euros per year).

When awarding the scholarship, you can make specific funding requests with regard to the subject area or degree program. At least two thirds of the scholarships are subject-specific. Companies are eligible for a minimum of three scholarships.

TUM will select the recipients for you and ensure a fair and transparent awarding procedure.

With the introduction of the Ideal support Program, TUM has set itself the goal of strengthening cooperation between scholarship holders and TUM cooperation partners, building networks and promoting interdisciplinary exchange.

Sponsors and scholarship holders benefit equally from this. Scholarship holders gain exciting insights into innovative foundations and companies as well as scientific topics. Conversely, sponsors get to know scholarship holders from the entire network. A classic win-win for both sides!

The advantage for sponsors: by offering an event, sponsors can get to know a large circle of young talents - not just their own scholarship holders.

The advantage for scholarship holders: Regardless of whether they receive financial support from a foundation, a private individual or a company, scholarship holders can also get to know other cooperation partners of the Deutschlandstipendien network and make initial contacts.

When awarding the TUM Deutschlandstipendium, a concept was developed that takes a broader view of the concept of achievement. In line with our principle "Achievement is multifaceted", social commitment (20%) and social criteria (20%) are also taken into account in addition to academic achievement (60%).
