4. Purposes and legal basis of processing
Your data will be processed so that you can have a counseling appointment with an advisor from the General Student Advising or for the purpose of enabling you to participate in events organized by the General Student Advising. Your data will be processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 4(1) BayDSG in conjunction with Art. 2(1)2 BayHIG in conjunction with § 2(1) of the General Regulations on the Use of Bavarian State Libraries – ABOB – in conjunction with § 3 ABOB.

Your personal data will be transferred to the following company for order processing:

For an online counseling appointment, you will be asked to enter your name when joining the Microsoft Teams video conferencing tool. This name will only be visible to the counselor attending the appointment. Your name will not be transmitted to Microsoft or stored.
6. Transfer of personal data to a country outside the EU
No personal data will be transferred to a country outside the EU.
7. Duration of personal data storage
The data recorded as part of your event bookings will be deleted 10 weeks after the event.
The data recorded as part of your counseling appointments will automatically be fully anonymized 365 days after the booked session. Your data provided in anny will automatically be deleted after 180 days of inactivity.
8. Rights of the persons affected
According to the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR), you have the following rights:
- If your personal data is processed, you have the right to be informed about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR).
- If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR).
- If the legal requirements are met, you can request the erasure or restriction of processing and object to the processing (Articles 17, 18, and 21 GDPR).
If you exercise your above-mentioned rights, the controller will check whether the legal requirements for your request have been met.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bavarian Data Protection Commissioner.
